Job Description

As a Content Strategist and Writer at HPL, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality and on-time work.
  • Have a keen eye for spelling and grammatical accuracy. We adhere to AP style and the Oxford comma.

Responsibilities

Content Strategy and Development

  • Develop content strategies that align with brand messaging, audience needs, and client objectives.
  • Present content strategies and deliverables to internal stakeholders and clients with clarity, professionalism, and persuasive storytelling.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through content planning, development, and execution phases, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Create and edit a wide range of content, including thought leadership, social media content, website copy, reports, whitepapers, bylines, advertising copy, and internal communications.
  • Craft brand messaging, editorial frameworks, and editorial calendars that support cohesive multichannel communication.
  • Conduct research and stakeholder interviews to inform clear, strategic storytelling.
  • Support brand strategy development work.

Collaboration and Execution

  • Work cross-functionally with creative, digital, and strategy teams to deliver integrated content experiences.
  • Lead or support content workstreams for campaigns, marketing programs, and client engagements.
  • Contribute to internal and external brainstorming sessions and provide recommendations rooted in best practices.
  • Share knowledge on emerging content trends and tools, including AI-driven enhancements.

Performance and Optimization

  • Monitor content performance using analytics tools and provide actionable insights.
  • Recommend content iterations to boost engagement, resonance, and impact.
  • Explore opportunities for improvement through SEO, GEO, user feedback, and AI-supported analysis.

Required Skills / Experience

  • 6–10 years of experience in content strategy, editorial development, or brand communications (agency experience preferred).
  • Experience in brand strategy development, a plus.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, adaptable to diverse platforms and tones.
  • Familiarity with SEO, GEO, editorial workflows, and content management tools.
  • Experience collaborating across departments and managing multiple content streams.
  • Comfort with new technologies, including a basic understanding of AI’s role in content creation.
  • BA in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field.

Salary range: $90,000 - $110,000
