Job Description

As a Senior Consultant/Data Center Expert at Hot Paper Lantern, this is what we expect:

Hot Paper Lantern is looking for a candidate who will work part time to play a pivotal role in working with our internal data center team. HPL has a growing data center practice, focusing on providing communications, marketing, brand development, and crisis communications to data centers and their vendors. The right candidate for this ongoing project will need to provide:

  • Real-time guidance on the macro-trends, regulatory shifts, and technological disruptions defining the data center landscape
  • Insights into the pain points, priorities, and decision-making drivers of data center operators and their vendor ecosystems
  • Offer recommendations on how we should be positioning ourselves, what conferences we should be attending and how we should communicate most effectively to target executives
  • Leverage an established industry footprint to facilitate high-value introductions and identify emerging business development opportunities

Responsibilities

Required Skills / Experience

  • 7+ years of professional experience within the data center/power/energy infrastructure industry, understanding relevant issues/topics and have connections within public relations, corporate communications, employee communications, marketing and brand development.
  • A great team-oriented person, who likes to work, listen and lead others and act as part of a cohesive team
  • Creative thinker, who truly understands this fast-growing industry and can translate complex topics and issues to the internal HPL team.

Compensation based on work arrangement (see below), ranges are:

  • This is an hourly consultant position with a competitive hourly rate in the range of $120 to $150 per hour, depending on experience level and agreed scope of work. We anticipate approximately 15 to 20 hours per month.
