Since 2017, HPL has worked with Meta’s Newsroom team to support and evolve one of the company’s key digital communications platforms. What began as strategic consulting has grown into a long-term partnership spanning platform strategy, UX, design, development, analytics, content infrastructure, and ongoing optimization.
Across multiple brand, platform, and communications shifts, from Facebook’s corporate presence to the evolution of Meta, HPL has helped the newsroom become more scalable, flexible, and effective for the audiences it serves. The work has included redesigns, custom templates, new publishing features, analytics dashboards, accessibility and usability improvements, and ongoing enhancements that help internal teams deliver timely, high-quality communications to media, stakeholders, and the public.
HPL works closely with Meta’s internal teams and third-party partners to continuously improve the newsroom experience from both a user and publisher perspective. Our approach combines digital strategy, UX planning, technical development, QA, analytics, and long-term platform support.
Rather than treating the newsroom as a static website, we support it as an evolving communications product. That means building systems and features that make the platform easier to manage, easier to navigate, and better equipped to support major announcements, editorial workflows, brand initiatives, and cross-company communications. Recent work has included custom content templates, text-to-speech functionality, interface refinements, performance improvements, analytics reporting, and ongoing feature development designed to keep the platform useful, modern, and adaptable.
HPL helps shape the newsroom experience around the needs of media, stakeholders, internal publishers, and public audiences. Our strategy work focuses on making the platform easier to navigate, easier to manage, and better equipped to support major announcements, editorial workflows, brand initiatives, and cross-company communications.
We develop analytics dashboards and reporting structures to help Meta understand audience behavior, content performance, and platform effectiveness. These insights inform ongoing improvements, helping the newsroom evolve based on how audiences engage with the experience over time.
